THE STEAM-EST STORY

From local service company to complete field-service partner.

Steam-Est began in Estevan in 1978 and has served southeast Saskatchewan for more than 40 years. The company’s longevity reflects a simple operating truth: local customers remember who answers, who shows up and who stands behind the work.

Keith Cassidy acquired Steam-Est in 2015. Since then, the company has expanded beyond its original steam and vacuum roots into hydrovac excavation, septic and industrial vacuum service, potable-water delivery, line jetting, portable sanitation, rig service and broader municipal and utility support.

Today, Steam-Est remains locally owned and operated. The focus is on capable employees, formal safety systems, useful equipment and coordinating more of the customer’s work through one accountable regional team.

LEADERSHIP & OPERATING PHILOSOPHY

Team standards applied to field work.

Keith’s background in professional hockey, coaching and player development shaped a leadership style built around preparation, role clarity, accountability and continuous improvement. That story is part of Steam-Est—but the company’s credibility belongs to the entire team that answers the phones, maintains the equipment and completes the work.

Be capable. Carry your share. Build the willing.

The operating philosophy is practical: train people, maintain standards, communicate clearly and give customers a straight answer.
